Instructions
1. Using your Cricut machine you will first make the diaper card. Put a Slate piece of paper on your Cricut mat and press load mat. Set the size to 4" then press card, shift, V, and then press cut. Once that is done cutting then you will press unload mat. Take off your cut diaper card.
2. Next place the green design paper on the mat (load mat). To make the card insert you will keep your setting still at 4" and card (but don't press shift) and press v then press cut (unload once it's done cutting). Now you will have the diaper card and the card insert.
3. The next thing we are going to do is cut "it's a boy" in Avonlea Teal (place paper on mat and press load mat). This time you will change your size to 2 1/2". Press Accent 1, shift, V, and then press cut. 4. For the bow place the Avonlea Green paper on to the mat and load the mat and change the cut size to 1". To cut the bow press Accent 3, g and then press cut.
5. The final thing you will be cutting is the "We're Expecting!" out of the Avonlea Off- White. Change your size setting to 1/2". This one is easy to plug in since the keyboard has the letters right on it. Make sure you take off Accent 3. Just remember to press shift for the W and E and the ! (1 = !). For the ' I used the scrap cut out from the e.
6. Now that everything is cut out you are ready to glue and put together. I folded the diaper card at the indentations that the Cricut machine made and then glued, with liquid glass, the card insert down (don't put glue on the top of the card insert since that part is shown above the diaper card.
7. Next you put glue on the "it's a boy" and make sure you place it in the bottom middle so when the card is all put together that you will not be able to see the announcement.
8. Now fold the card closed. Once the card is closed you will glue and place the "We're Expecting!" To glue the little letters I used the Xyron Create-A-Sticker. Once I put them all through the Xyron I placed the "We're Expecting!" on to the card.
9. The final part is folding and gluing the bow. The bow has holes on it. In the middle of the first 2 hole are little lines and you will fold there. Bind the paper into the middle so the holes line up. Glue and then do the same thing with the other side and glue again. Hold together for a minute while the liquid glass dries. To cover up the hole place the square sparkler over it and then glue the bow to the top of the outer flap right above the "We're Expecting". Now you have crafted your first diaper card. The below picture is how to fold the bow just in case you did not totally understand my directions.
